Owing to a major investment programme by Irish Rail to upgrade the DART rail service, Translink regret that there will be no special trains for fans travelling to the forthcoming Rugby games on 13th, 20th and 27th of November at Lansdowne Road. It is anticipated that rail services in operation on all three days will have extremely limited capacity; therefore it is recommended that fans make alternative travel arrangements.
The rail line between Drogheda and Dublin Connolly stations will continue to be closed at weekends (Saturday and Sunday only) for approximately another 8 months. An express bus substitution service currently operates between the two stations so that passengers may complete their journeys with the minimum of disruption. Passengers are advised that Monday to Friday Enterprise services will operate as normal.
Christmas shoppers will be glad to know that the Enterprise service will run as normal for the three weekends (Saturday and Sunday’s) prior to Christmas.
