NI Railways - Castlerock Platform Closure 29-Jan-2010 14:30
Translink wish to inform passengers that due to essential maintenance work the Londonderry bound Platform at Castlerock will be closed from 1910hrs, Friday 29 January 2010 until further notice (except for the 1743 and 1906 services to Derry, Mon - Fri).

For all other services passengers are advised to use the opposite platform for journeys in both directions.

Metro/Ulsterbus - Doagh Road Roadworks 8-Jan-2010 12:38
(UPDATED 14 JANUARY)
The proposed diversions for the road works on Doagh Road for both Metro and Ulsterbus have been put in to operation in a countrybound direction.

Services operating out off town will get to the Cloughfern Roundabout (at Whiteabbey Hospital), turn left on to the O'Neill Road, right in to Knockenagh Avenue, right in to Tulleevin Drive, right in to Knockenagh Avenue and then rejoin the Doagh Road.

Metro - Marketlink Service Information 12-Oct-2009 15:11
Due to the road works in Donegall Place the Marketlink route has been revised.

Until further notice this service will operate as follows -

St George's Market, May St, Donegall Square South, Howard St, College Square East, Millfield, North St, Royal Avenue, Donegall Place, Chichester St, Victoria St, Queen's Square, Queen's Quay and Oxford St to St George's Market.

Metro - Queen Street Bus Stop Suspension 10-Apr-2009 10:14
Translink wish to advise Metro passengers that the Bus Stop in Queen Street for Metro services 80 and 81 has been suspended until further notice due to roadworks.

These services will now depart from Upper Queen Street during this period.

Metro - 61 Service Information Corporation Street 20-Aug-2008 16:39
(Updated 1/1/10 - Ongoing)
Due to ongoing sewage/pipe laying Metro service 61 will continue to operate on a diversionary route until further notice.

The diversion will be as follows:

Outward Journey via
York Street, Brougham Street omitting Dunbar Link and Corporation Street.

Inward Journey via
Nelson Street, Dunbar Link omitting Corporation Street and then as normal to City Centre.

Ulsterbus - Portaferry Departure Change 26-Jan-2010 17:42
Due to roadworks, High Street in Portaferry will be closed from Tuesday 26th January until 21st February 2010.

As such, Ulsterbus services cannot access the Square in Portaferry and will now be departing from the Portaferry Ulsterbus Depot during this period.

Due to road works service 13 and 13D will be subject to diversions for approximately 2-3 weeks further notice.

Buses will operate outwards from Belfast via Ballylesson Road, Pinehill Road to Drumbo

Buses will operate inwards from Drumbo via Front Road, Moss Road, Comber Road, Leverogue Road, Leverogue Crossroads, Ballycoan Road, Purdysburn Road then as normal to Belfast.

Ulsterbus wish to advise passengers that the Springfield Road, Portavogie will be closed for roadworks from Monday 11 January to 26 February 2010.

Ulsterbus service 9A will be diverted via New Road and Top Road in both directions.

Ulsterbus - Service Information Ballyclare Town Centre Diversion 4-Jan-2010 16:37
Due to road works, the following diversion will be in place in Ballyclare town centre for a period of approximately 12 weeks, commencing 04th Jan 2010.

All services from Ballyclare Bus Depot to Belfast will operate via Avondale Drive, Hawthorn Way and Ollardale Estate. This diversion only applies on journeys from Ballyclare to Belfast; the outward journeys from Belfast are unaffected.

Please be adviced that this diversion may cause some to delays to the aforementioned services.

Ulsterbus - Road Closure Castlewellan Road Banbridge 29-Dec-2009 18:25
Due to water main laying the Castlewellan Road in Banbridge will be closed (outwards only) from 4 January to 12 February 2010.

Diversions will be in place as a result of this closure.

Services 31 & 32 will now pick up at the stop opposite the Coach Inn and operate outwards via the Dromore Road and Carriageway then back on to the Old Manse Road.

Banbridge Town Service 330A shall take the left at end of New Road and use the same diversion as above to go to Chinauley Park.
The town service stops between New Road and Chinauley Park shall be suspended.

Ulsterbus - Road Closure Cushendun 22-Dec-2009 15:37
From Monday 4th January until Wednesday 31st March 2010 inclusive, Main Street Cushendun will be closed to all traffic and this will affect Ulsterbus services 150, 162 and 252.

The closure is to facilitate works by the D.R.D. on Cushendun Bridge. Buses will not be able to serve Knocknacarry or Cushendun from the roundabout at Knocknacarry Avenue to the car park at the Bay Road.

The diversion will be via Knocknacarry Avenue and the Glendun Road. All buses will use the car park at the Bay Road as their timing point.

Translink wish to advise Ulsterbus passengers that roadworks on Church Street, Ballynahinch will take place from Monday 18 May 2009 until further notice.

As a result the following services will be subject to delay during this period:

Ulsterbus - Roadworks Newry By Pass May 2008-2009 (updated 16 Nov) 22-May-2008 13:19

On Monday 12 May 2008 and until further notice Lagan Construction will begin rock blasting at Cloghogue Roundabout and on the bypass.

This will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 1100 and 1500.

Each road closure is estimated to be 20 minutes and some delays may be experienced during this time.

This will affect Ulsterbus service 43 to Forkhill and Goldline Express 200/Bus Eireann 001 services travelling to Dublin Airport and Dublin City Centre.

Translink like would advise passengers to allow additional time for their journeys, especially if travelling to Dublin Airport.

NI Railways - Ballymena Station Works Upgrade 7-Feb-2010 8:37
Work to upgrade the cladding in the subway at Ballymena rail station will commence Monday 22nd February until the end of April.

The lift serving Ballymena - Belfast platform will be out of order from 3rd to the 12th March. The lift serving Ballymena - Coleraine platform will be out of order from 15th to the 24th March.


Access to both platforms will remain unaffected as will trains services. Access for wheelchair bound passengers can still be made to both platforms via the ramps.
