Dear Colleagues,
Here is a reminder of what’s making the news and some of our promotions and activity at the moment;
Our popular ‘Translink Shopping Centre Roadshow’ – continues at The Diamond Centre, Coleraine next weekend (November 16th to 18th). We use this tour of 16 locations across Northern Ireland to provide information on all Translink services and promotions.
We are presenting the 83 pupils from 53 schools across Northern Ireland who achieved first place in a variety of GCSE and A Level subjects with Translink Student Discount Cards to recognise their achievement and highlight the availability of these cards for all students over 16 years of age.
Christmas shoppers and Dublin day-trippers will be happy to know that the Enterprise day return web fare is available again until 22 December, offering travel to Dublin for between £10 and £20 – booking is online at www.translink.co.uk.
Translink is offering a ‘2 for 1’ deal on cinema tickets at the Cinemagic Festival from 16th November – on presentation of a valid bus or rail ticket at the festival box office the second cinema ticket is free. You can see what is on at www.cinemagic.org.uk.
You will probably have seen our new Metro TV advertisement ‘Ribbons’ on air over the past week or so. It is getting a lot of attention and comment! The advertisement is bold and innovative – an approach which has been central to the continuing success of this service in Belfast. It highlights the central role of Metro in connecting commuters, shoppers, tourists, businesses, families and revelers with every part of Belfast.
You may also be interested to know that at the half way point of the current financial year, compared to last year Ulsterbus is carrying 2.8% more passengers, Metro 8.2% more and the railways 8.5% more. These are great results and show our hard work is delivering a real success story!
