The Big Picture Project
Working with Irish Children’s Laureate na nOg PJ Lynch, a Belfast born illustrator, we will be engaging the 5 local schools situated close to the proposed Belfast Hub site and the surrounding ‘Weavers Cross’ neighbourhood; Fane Street PS, Donegall Road PS, Blythefield PS, St Joseph’s PS and St Mary’s PS. These 5 schools will create individual art panels which will be assembled to create 1 big panel and displayed together in a public exhibition at Crescent Arts Centre, during the Belfast Children’s Festival (9th-14th March 2018). The general public will also be invited to contribute to ‘The Big Picture’ by adding their own artwork to a sixth panel which will grow and develop over the 6 days of the exhibition.
