Translink has joined forces with the Institution of Civil Engineers as part of their 200th Anniversary to celebrate the role civil engineers play in transforming lives and safeguarding our future.

The scheme is a unique and creative way to put the spotlight on the unsung heroes behind some of our exciting projects and day to day business to keep people moving, helping to keep Northern Ireland growing and prospering.

ICE is made up of over 90,000 superheroes in 150 countries around the world. Meet some of the Translink heroes making a difference and helping us deliver our vision to be your first choice for travel!


Ruairi Savage is... Titan Tracker
After joining Translink in 2000 Ruairi’s first post was as a Project Manager with the Infrastructure Division working on Permanent Way Projects and he is now a Senior Programme Manager within the Projects Division.

Louise Sterritt is... Captain Projecto
Louise joined Translink as a Project Manager and has managed some of Translink’s large property construction, bus safety and signage schemes and park & ride projects.

Ralph McKinley, Barry Hughes and Stuart Benson... The Super Techs
Translink has over 8,000 signalling & telecoms assets to be maintained across 220 miles of track and four teams of ‘Super Techs’ to do this. Meet some of our Hidden Invisible Superheroes...
