Data Protection

Translink processes personal information in order to deliver and improve services to our customers.  We are registered Data Controllers with the Information Commissioners Office.  Our Data Protection Policy sets out the principles and how we will adhere to meeting our obligations under the Data Protection Act.

How to Apply for Information
If you want to ask us for information which we may hold about you personally you can make a Subject Access Request to the Information Manager at Translink, 22 Great Victoria Street, Belfast, BT2 7LX.  Please download and complete a Subject Access Request Form.  This forms provides everything you need to know about sending in a request.

Under the Data Protection Act 1998 we have 40 calendar days to process your request.  If you make a request and are not satisfied with the way in which we deal with it you may ask us for a review. If you wish us to undertake an internal review you should write to the Translink's General Counsel and Company Secretary, who has overall responsibility for Freedom of Information and Data Protection issues within the Northern Ireland Transport Holding Company/Translink Group. Correspondence should be addressed to the above-mentioned at: Translink, 22 Great Victoria Street, Belfast, BT2 7LX.

If we are then unable to resolve any complaint that you may have, you may refer the matter to the Information Commissioner who will make an independent judgement.
