Colleagues,

Today we announced the start of an Ulsterbus services public consultation.

We want the public to tell us how they use local Ulsterbus services so that we can carefully plan network changes due to be introduced later this year. The consultation will help us best design the bus network to operate within allocated resources while protecting those routes most essential to our customers.

Anyone who would like to participate in the consultation can simply complete a questionnaire available at local bus stations and public amenities as well as on the Translink website at www.translink.co.uk/servicechanges/.

Public information events will also be taking place in bus stations where passengers can meet our local managers to discuss proposals.

The information we get from passengers will be very important to us; we want to continue to offer accessible and good value services where customers need them while ensuring we remain efficient and sustainable for the future.

Over recent years, more and more people are choosing to travel by bus and train. We have remained focussed on reducing costs, enhancing value for money and providing improvements and enhancements to continue to make our services attractive.

Please help encourage our passengers to participate in this process and contribute to shaping the future of our local bus services.

While the published deadline for responses to this consultation exercise is 3 April 2015 we expect to extend this to at least 10th April 2015 in order to capture as much feedback as possible.
