Life's Better – Translink and the Belfast Marathon

"walking to the bus stop or train station as part of a daily health routine"
31st January 2014

Dear Colleagues,

Tomorrow, Translink will be hosting a Belfast City Marathon Health Day at Central Station from 10am – 3pm to launch the first ever Belfast Health Month.

We have been promoting the event through the press and social media all week to encourage passengers to the station where they can avail of free health checks and gait analysis from Randox Health and Podium 4 Sport.

This health day fits with our 'Life's Better' message to our passengers - we will be reminding attendees that using the bus or train is a healthier way to travel; walking to the nearest bus stop or train station can make up part of a daily health routine and the chance to get some valuable exercise.

To make sure employees also have the opportunity to avail of these health checks, we have arranged for Randox Health to hold an event at Adelaide on February 18th and there are still some spaces available.

For further information call ex. 2363. Of course, if you're out and about tomorrow, you can call into the station and encourage your family and friends to do the same. There will be competitions every hour to win a variety of prizes and music provided by U105!
