Monday's strike action on NI Railways Services

"It is key that we consolidate our efforts to ensure that we retain existing customers as well as keep attracting new customers to our services"
21st June 2013

Dear Colleagues,

As you may be aware, a small number of N I Railways employees have indicated they will take strike action on Monday 24th June. Rail services will be adversely affected by this strike action and a reduced level of service will be operated; we will give our passengers full timetable information today through our website, Contact Centre, the media and at stations.

Enterprise services will operate as normal and bus services will not be impacted.

We remain ready to resolve this with the GMB but they have indicated that they cannot meet us before the strike.

Next week we will be launching our annual review in which we will announce that we exceeded our target for passenger journeys, carrying 78.5 million passenger in 2012-2013. It is key that we consolidate our efforts to ensure that we retain existing customers as well as keep attracting new customers to our services. We can only do this by offering reliable, value for money services and letting our passengers know that they are at the core of everything we do.
