Translink Awards 2014
 

Awards are an important way to motivate staff and promote excellence in the workplace. Translink’s committed efforts to be a customer-focused organisation, to make continuous improvements to the services its companies offer, and its commitment to developing employees continues to be recognised in its success in garnering a number of awards across a wide spectrum of competition areas.



Marketing Communications and Business Development have collected six top Marketing Awards from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations Northern Ireland and the Publicity Association Northern Ireland. Five of these accolades were for the Life’s better campaign.



Chartered Institute of Public Relations Northern Ireland Awards:

 

  • Winner – Gold Award Corporate and Business Communications Award
  • Winner – Gold Award, Public Sector Award 
  • Silver Award – Consumer Relations Campaign.


Publicity Association Northern Ireland Awards:

  • Bronze for Best TV advertisement between £25k and £75k
  • Bronze for Best Multi Format Campaign.


The Enterprise Dublin Day Radio campaign to encourage more and more people to travel by Enterprise train was awarded:

  • Silver for Best Use of Radio with Enterprise Dublin Day.

 


HR picks up two awards at CIPD NI 2014
Translink’s HR Team was highly successful last week as they picked up two prestigious awards at the Chartered Institute of Personal Development (CIPD) NI Awards 2014: Team of the Year and the accolade for Organisational Learning and Development.

The CIPD Awards recognise HR/personnel excellence from the private, public and voluntary sectors in Northern Ireland. Chairman of CIPD NI Donal Laverty commented on the high standard of entries this year, “Translink were particularly impressive and are worthy winners of the Team of the Year award.”


These prestigious accolades highlight the hard-work, dedication and commitment from HR.

Translink Group Chief Executive awarded for contribution to the Transport Industry

Catherine Mason, Translink Group Chief Executive was awarded the 2013 Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport/RSA Award for ‘Outstanding Contribution’ to the industry.  This prestigious accolade recognises Translink’s significant success in recent years following a programme of development, change and continuous improvement delivering passenger growth, improved efficiency and high levels of customer care.


Federation of Passenger Transport Awards 2014

Translink won three awards at the Federation of Passenger Transport, Northern Ireland (FPTNI) Awards Ceremony in the Galgorm Hotel, Ballymena. FPTNI is the trade body promoting the use of public transport and represents the leading bus and coach operators across Northern Ireland.




Translink collected awards for:

  • Bus Driver of the Year – Cathy McGeough from Metro Falls (Wayne Davidge, from Coleraine Ulsterbus was runner-up)
  • Raising Industry Standards Awards – Bus Drivers and Cyclists Travelling in Harmony Campaign
