This detailed analysis of proposed capital expenditure is indicative (particularly years 2 and 3) only and is subject to amendment arising from:-
- The outcome of The Options for Future Train Services Steering Group with regard to the various options to replace the Class 450 units and also the decisions regarding further investment on the lesser used lines.
- The result of the Comprehensive Spending Review 2007 to be announced in December 2007 and which will determine the funding for the three years commencing 1st April 2008.
- Preparation of Business Cases and robust Economic Appraisals.
- Receipt of approvals (including Statutory Approvals) and timing of same.
- Changes in scope or design of projects and any resulting changes to cost estimates.
- Emergency safety/legislative requirements.
- Re-prioritisation of capital projects as a result of any/all of the above changes in Government policy.
