Ulster Rugby re-appoints Translink Ulsterbus Tours as Official Coach Travel Partner

19 December 2013

I.R.F.U Ulster Branch has re-appointed Translink Ulsterbus Tours as its Official Coach Travel Partner providing a range of transport services for the Ulster Rugby squad. The announcement comes as fans get the opportunity to hire the official Ulster Rugby team coach for their own unique journey experience.

It will be the second year of a successful partnership which, Sean McGreevy, Translink Ulsterbus Tours Manager, says has been very rewarding:

“It was great to be part of such a high-profile year for Ulster Rugby and our re-appointment reflects the positive business partnership which we have developed with I.R.F.U Ulster Branch.  As Ulster’s leading professional sports team, the squad requires a reliable, modern, safe and comfortable coach service – qualities which we work hard to deliver every day for all our customers.

“Throughout 2014, we look forward to giving an excellent service to the team and, of course, all our customers having just launched our new Escorted Coach Holidays and Short Breaks brochure offering more departures and destinations both in the UK, Europe and beyond.

“The official team coach is unmistakable and certainly a ‘head-turner’; branded in Ulster’s colours, it also features a few familiar faces from the pitch! Sports fans can book this unique luxury coach for their own private hire requirements – it would be a real talking point for any journey!

“We are now looking forward to continuing to work closely with the I.R.F.U Ulster Branch to ensure an attractive coach service is provided that meets the needs of both the squad and supporters,” said Sean.

Phillip Polack, Ulster Rugby’s Business Development Manager said:

“Preparation is key to team performances and our coach partner, Translink Ulsterbus Tours, plays an important role in delivering the team to away matches safely and on time. We rely on them to play their part and are delighted that they are partnering with us this season.”

Translink Metro is also providing a special return bus service between Belfast City Centre and Ravenhill Stadium on match days departing one hour before kick-off. The service departs from Europa Buscentre and also picks-up from Chichester Street (SS Moore) and East Bridge Street (Central Station). Return tickets are £3.50 Adult/£1.75 Child or £3 using a Plusbus ticket.
