659 Cairnshill P&R - Ulster Hospital Service Information

In order to make the best use of our resources, we regularly review our services and make changes in line with passenger demand.
Unfortunately Service 659 operating between Cairnshill and Dundonald has not performed as we had hoped despite our marketing efforts to attract new passengers on board. As such, it is not financially sustainable and we plan to withdraw the service from 25 November 2016.
We will continue to work with all relevant stakeholders when evolving services.
For example, the Ulster Hospital to look at ways of assisting the transport of staff e.g. the new staff shuttle from Dundonald Park and Ride.
Any service reductions are always a last resort, however we must continue to operate sustainably and ensure we provide attractive travel options that are good value for both the passenger and the tax payer. We will continue to monitor the market and where there is sustainable demand we will review the level of service provided.
Meanwhile the 652 Cairnshill Park and Ride service continues to grow in popularity, with enhancements already made in February and July 2016. To continue to meet the needs of this growing service, a further 0815 departure Service 652 from Cairnshill Park & Ride will be introduced from Monday 28 November.
