Kings Lane, Ballykelly - Bus Stop Move (Roadworks)

From Monday 18th December until Mid-February 2018 the bus stop at Kingslane in Ballykelly (served by 143, 144 & 152 buses) will be moved 175m closer to the village. This is to facilitate roadworks.

Translink apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. 

 
Ulsterbus Downpatrick Area - Expected Disruption

Delays and disruption can be expected on all Ulsterbus services in the Downpatrick area for a three month period from January 2018 onwards - this is to facilitate works by Pheonix Gas.

 
Shimna College School Bus Disruption - Maghera Village

From Wednesday 17th January 2018 the main Ballyloughlin Road, B180 Maghera will be closed to through traffic from its junction with the Wateresk Road to its junction with Carrigs Road for a period of one week approx.

A minibus shuttle bus will operate within this time to ferry school children to Shimna Integrated College, departing Maghera Village (Wateresk Road) at 0840 and proceed to Shimna College along the Ballyloughlin Road in the direction of Dundrum picking up children as required.  There should be no to little disruption to school children on the Ballyloughlin Road.  Any children who would have boarded at Dundrinne Road/Carrigs Road junction will have to make their way to the main A50 Castlewellan/Newcastle Road.

 

Those children who would normally board this Maghera bus on the Castlewellan Road will have to avail of the school bus which departs Castlewellan at 0835.

 
B170 Ballysallagh Road - Road Closure 8-10 weeks

TRAFFIC WATCH NI: North Down - the B170 Ballysallagh Road (the road between Bangor and Dundonald / Craigantlet) will remain closed in both directions indefinitely following damage to a bridge in a collision.

Diversions are in place but motorists are advised to allow extra time for journeys due to the extra volume of traffic now having to use the A2 Belfast - Bangor Road. This closure is likely to cause traffic disruption during peak periods.

ULSTERBUS BANGOR: 4 services (Bangor-Dundonald) will omit the Ballysallagh Road in both directions and operate via the Ballymoney Road until further notice. 

 
Newcastle Town Service 34b - Tollymore Road

The Middle Tollymore Road in Newcastle is closed for approximately 3 weeks from Monday, 13 November 2017.

This will affect the 34b town service to Bryansford.  The service will be unable to serve either the Tollymore or Middle Tollymore Roads. 

 
Lisburn Area Timetable Changes - From Tuesday 2nd January 2018
Some timetable adjustments will be introduced from 2 January 2018 to Lisburn services 24a; 525; 530, 325a & 325m. Please check on Journey Planner for latest times.

85H School Service - Clogher, Augher & Fivemiletown

Due to the roadworks project, Gasworks to the West, commencing Monday 30th October 2017 and lasting for 8 weeks, Knockmany Road, (Clogher/Eskra area) cannot be serviced….This means that students who travel on the 2 buses from Clogher/Augher and Fivemiletown (Services 85H) will be affected.

Students who live on Knockmanny Road which includes bus stops called Cullion’s Quarry, Greenmount Cross Roads, Ballagh and Thompson’s Corner that the new pick up points for the duration of this work are:

  •  Clogher
  •  Augher
  •  Seskinore
  •  Eskra Primary School


While the routes are affected the pick-up times at the above 4 boarding points in the mornings are not affected.

 
Ulsterbus Service 532 Lisburn/Belfast via Falls Rd 

Due to Belfast Rapid Transit works, the following stop is suspended until further notice:

  • Countrybound - Westwood Centre
 
East Belfast - Lane Closures - Upper Newtownards Rd & Knock Rd

NI Water commenced work on a large-scale flood alleviation project for the Upper Newtownards Road / Knock Road area of East Belfast on Monday 5th June.

Two key elements of the work will be carried out on the Upper Newtownards Road & Knock Road between June and September 2017.

  • A lane closure is in place on the Upper Newtownards Road (country bound) for 12 weeks between Ormiston Park and the junction with Hawthornden Way (to 31st August 2017).
  • A lane closure is also in place on Knock Road (heading towards the Castlereagh Road) for 8 weeks between the Kings Road and the Comber Greenway (to Friday 28th July 2017). 


Traffic delays are expected and motorists should allow extra time for their journey or consider using an alternative route where possible.

 
651 Sprucefield Park & Pide Car Park Information

Please be advised the gates for this site (Sprucefield P&R) will be locked after the last service departure at 19:00 (from Belfast Europa Buscentre) Monday-Friday arriving in to the car park at 1920.

Killagan Stop (Logans Fashion) Services 173 & 218 Information

Due to road works on the A26, the bus shelter has been removed and coned off at Logans Fashions (Killagan) northbound until further notice.

A temporary stop is in operation 100 metres further northbound, just past the end of the Killagan Road end...This will affect all 218 and 173 services toward Ballymoney and Coleraine. 

 

Ulsterbus - Stewartstown Road Stop Suspension - Ongoing

With immediate effect, due to construction works the bus stop located on the Stewartstown Road CITY BOUND at the Shaws Road junction has been suspended for the duration of the Belfast Rapid Transport works to the footpath.

The nearest alternative stops are located at Stewartstown Road – Saint Genevieve’s (Connor Rise) or Andersonstown Road – Ballyowen. This will affect Ulsterbus service 532.

 

Ulsterbus - Donegall Street Relocation of Bus Stop from 9th October 2015 - Relocation of 1st bus stop in York Street

Due to demolition and rebuilding work associated with the new University of Ulster building at York Street it will be necessary to suspend the first stop in York Street for 30 months from 09:30 on Friday 9th October 2015.

All services Metro and Ulsterbus will all be relocated to the 2nd stop  near Frederick Street. The inner lane will be taken out to be used as a covered walkway for pedestrians as there will be a hoarding the length of the footpath from Donegall Street to Frederick Street for the duration of the work.

The bus shelter will be inaccessible but there will be a marked gap in the covered walkway to allow boarding/alighting at this point.

 

Dufferin Avenue, Bangor Overflow Car Park

Free passenger overflow parking now available at Dufferin Avenue, Bangor for Translink passengers.

 

Due to operational difficulties the following services will not operate this afternoon.

 

13:40 109b Antrim-Lisburn, the 14:40 109 Lisburn-Belfast, the 15:30 109 Belfast Europa-Lisburn and the 16:15 109b Lisburn-Antrim.
