  • Antrim

Bus services in Antrim subject to delays

Service 321A Greystone Road - Not serving Newpark Estate.

Service 321B Stiles Way - Not serbving Rathenraw and Stile Estate.

Service 321D Dublin Road - Not serving Cedarmount.

School Information

Millquarter Primary School - unable to operate due to adverse weather.

St. Benedicts High School - unable to operate due to adverse weather.

  • Armagh

Very poor road conditions in Armagh due to heavy snowfall.

All services subject to delay and cancellation. The following areas will not be served until further notice: Keady, Darkley, Blackwatertown, Loughgall.

UPDATE @ 0839 Due to heavy snow fall the following services have been disrupted.

Service 73 Caledon.

Service 74 Benburb/Blackwatertown/Tullysarran.

Service 40 Newry specifically Whitecross/Mountnorris/Hamiltonsbawn.

Service 65 Portadown via Loughgall.

At present services are operating Main roads only until further notice.

  • Ballymena

Due to snow fall in Ballymena all service will operate with extreme caution.

10:15 219 from Belfast is cancelled.

  • Bangor

Snow has fallen and is lying in places, all routes passable with care, all services operating albeit possibly a bit slow due to traffic build up.

  • Belfast

Two road traffic accidents on M2 which have now cleared but delays of up to 40 minutes are still expected.

Major RTC on A1 Northbound between Banbridge and Dromore resulting in closure – ALL SERVICES (238/ X1/ X2 etc) will be severly delayed.

Traffic Watch Message -  Due to serious RTC on A1 Banbridge, northbound traffic diverted onto Blackskull Rd & southbound traffic diverted through Dromore town.

  • Coleraine

Icy conditions on rural roads resulting in some roads not being served. Driver will assess if passable.

118H Burnquarter Road - delayed.

115H Tullaghans - Not being served, main road only.

  • Derry Area

TOWN / CITY SERVICES  - Services should return to normal as there is now strong sunshine in the City.
COUNTRY SERVICES - 147/148  The usual in around Dungiven Park and Feeny on the 147/148 route some roads not passable.
EXPRESS SERVICES (Update 1212) - 212 services now operating as normal.

  • Dungannon

Town Services - Buses unabe to serve Scotch Street

Country Services 67,73,74,75,76,78,80,82 and 86

Some B roads wil be untreated and unsafe for schoool buses to operate, some may not be able to operate due to adverse weather.

Service 80A - 0910 Coalisland to Ballynakelly - unlikely to operate may not be able to serve Bush.

Service 74- Minterburn School route is impassable due to snowy cnditions.  Buses will operate main roads only. 

  • Enniskillen

0730 261 Ex Enniskillen has broken down and is approx 50-60 mins late

0850 Dungannon to Belfast as normal, BUT, there will be no 0910 261 to Enniskillen service

  • Magherafelt

Heavy layer of snow in Magherafelt this morning, all services operating although delays can be expected.

  • Newry Area

Very poor road conditions in Newry, services are operating in Newry Area however with caution.

42 Crossmaglen service is suspended to further notice.

Following services are suspended to further notice: 44, 35, 33, 29, 31, 36.

Major RTC on A1 Northbound between Banbridge and Dromore resulting in closure – ALL SERVICES (238/ X1/ X2 etc) will be severly delayed.

Ballee Park & Ride Suspension

Ballee Park & Ride stop is suspended from now (26/2) until further notice (may last a week, possibly two)...The stop is suspended due to road works.
Passengers are asked to go to the next bus stop for pick up (bus will also drop off here).

Service 44 Diversion  

The B31 Newtownhamilton Road, Armagh is closed from Monday 23rd February 2015 to Sunday 8th March 2015 for road works. Traffic is being diverted via: A29 Keady Road, Bachelors Walk and Tassagh Road.

Ulsterbus Service 44 cannot operate between Armagh and Ferla Crossroads due to roadworks at Lisnadill.

Loughgall Road Works Service Information 

Ulsterbus Services 65 & 67 are subject to delays/diversion due to road works taking place in Loughgall Mon-Fri until Friday 6th March.

Service 65 is not operating between Loughgall and Eddies Corner. Buses are going into Loughgall and turning, back to Robinson’s corner then along Ballytyrone Road to Eddies Corner. In reverse coming from Portadown to Armagh.
67 Ulsterbus Services will operate to Rectory Park in Loughgall and turn back and operate onwards via Hoggs Pub.

Ballyrobert Road, Bangor - Service Information

The Ballyrobert Road in the Bangor area will be closed from daily for resurfacing works from Monday 2nd March to Friday 20th March exclusive of weekends (Mon to Fri only).

Only off peak Ulsterbus Service 1 will be affected. Service 2, 502 will be as normal. The buses will divert through Helens Bay Village and Craigdarragh Road in both directions.

08:00 from Belfast will be the last to operate via normal route
08:55 onwards from Belfast will go via Helens Bay

08:50 from Bangor will be the last to operate via normal route
09:20 onwards from Bangor will go via Helens Bay

16:00 from Belfast back to normal
16:20 from Bangor back to normal

Upper Newtownards Road - Road Closures 

A section of the Upper Newtownards Road from Knock Junction to Sandown Road/Ballyhackamore will be closed for road works on the following dates/times.

Sun 1st March           08:00-18:00

Bus services will be diverted in and out via Knock Road & Sandown Road whilst the road is closed.

Newry to Rathfriland Service Information - Road Works 

35 Ulsterbus Services are currently being diverted until 27th February 2015 due to road works on main Newry-Rathfriland Road near Ardaragh Road.

Services operating from Newry as normal to Shinn then left from Shinn Crossroads to Glasker and then following Loughbrickland Road to Rathfriland.

Rathfriland to Newry services will operate the reverse of this. 

Queens Square, Belfast Road Closure

Due to essential road works the entrance to Queen’s Square from Victoria Street and High Street will be closed from Thursday 19th February 2015 for approximately six weeks. There will be access for cars and light vehicles but NO BUSES OR HEAVY VEHICLES will be permitted to use the first section of Queen’s Square.

Ulsterbus Services operating in from East & North Belfast/High Street requiring access to Laganside Bus Centre during the closure will therefore be required to operate via Albert Square and Donegall Quay to Laganside.
Ulsterbus Services departing Laganside for North Belfast direction and County Antrim will exit Laganside turning right onto Queen’s Square, Donegall Quay, Ann Street, Victoria Street to High Street and then as normal during the closure period.

Ulsterbus Services departing to East Belfast will operate as normal from Laganside.

Services operating outside Laganside operational hours should observe the temporary stop located in Oxford Street (Queens Bridge).

130 Service Information Larne / Ballymena 
Diversion in place through Millbrook village due to roadworks at Junction of A8/Ballymena road, Larne...all stops will be served as usual (Kilwaughter can still be boarded at the crossroads where the diversion starts/ends) - Due to be in place most of February.
Ballynure Diverstion - 154, 156 & 256 

Ballynure village will be subject to roadworks from 09.02.15 for approximately six weeks (Monday - Friday ONLY).
Both Village stops (at the Service Station & another stop for Larne bound passengers will both be suspended and one temporary bus stop erected at the Church car park serving all routes (154, 156 & 256) in either direction due to the A8 being closed between the Service Station and the top of the Hill (Ballybracken junction)...all bus services will be using new by-pass and turning off for Ballynure for pick up and set down.

(Access to Ballynure will be from the roundabout end only).

Change to Express Service 256 pick up times due to A8 Roadwork’s - From Wednesday 11th Feb 2015 there will be a reduced 256 Express Service in the early morning from Ballynure Village;
  • 06:35, 07:20, 08:05, 08:40, 09:20, and at 20 past the hour until normal service 18:00 and 19:05.
  • All 256 services from Belfast will operate request only via Ballynure. Please advise the driver of your intention to get off in Ballynure.

 Ulsterbus - Ballycastle Town Service
 The Dalriada bus stop will be suspended from 29th January 2015 until further notice due to roadworks. Please use the Altananam stop for pick up.
17A Diversion Clough / Castlewellan, 2nd February - 13th March 2015

A section of the Castlewellan Road, Clough will be closed due to roadworks from Monday 2nd February until friday 13th March 2015 inclusive (not including sundays) between the hours of 09:00 and 16:30 .

The school buses will operate the normal route in the mornings but during the above times service 17A will be diverted via Auglisnafin Cross Roads, Kilmegan Road, Dundrum, School Hill and Dromara Road then back onto normal route...this diversion is in both directions.

Linenhall Street, Lisburn Closure

The inward stop at Linenhall Street (Health Centre) will not be serviced from Monday 19 January for a period of 6 weeks.

  • Alternative Route: All 530/532 services from Belfast which use Queen’s Road will service to Lisburn Buscentre via Seymour Street and Castle Street.
  • Service 325L Hilden/Glenmore on the inward journey will service to Lisburn Buscentre via Seymour Street and Castle Street.
  • Service 325B Plantation will service to Roundabout as normal then via Bridge Street or Queen’s Road and Seymour Street and Castle Street.
  • Buses from Belfast (service 24), 26A service ex Ballynahinch, 26 service ex Dromara and 38A Old Hillsborough Road will service to Roundabout as normal then via Queen’s Road, Seymour Street and Castle Street.

Steeple Road, Antrim Diversion
Due to a road closure at the junction of Steeple Road & Stiles Way all services travelling from Belfast to Antrim Bus Centre will now operate via Fountain Hill and the Parkhall Road until further notice.

Dufferin Avenue, Bangor Overflow Car Park

Free passenger overflow parking now available at Dufferin Avenue, Bangor for Translink passengers.
