Note that only service 252 will be able to operate to Marine Corner – if passengers want to make onward connections to Coleraine then they must walk to Leyland Road

Truckfest The Pits Portstewart - Sunday 20th August 2017 

Due to the above event being held at the NW200 Paddocks there will be no services operating between Portrush and Portsewart between 1000 and 2100 on Sunday 20th August.

Buses will operate directly to Portewary and Portrush and then return to Coleraine
Please note that the Metropole bus stop will be suspended all day. 

402 rambler will not service Portrush. Intending passengers wishing to travel on the 402 from Portrush are advised to travel into Coleraine.

Rathgael Road - 12th August to 10th September 17

The Rathgael Road will be closed for works on the weekend dates listed below:

  • 12th – 13th August 17
  • 19th – 20th August 17
  • 1st (from 1900hrs) – 3rd September 17
  • 9th – 10th September 17


Services towards Belfast will operate to the turning circle on Drumkirk drive, then via the West Circular and proceed to Belfast via the Belfast Road (A2); services towards Bangor will operate the reverse of this diversion.

The following stops will not be served during the closure: 

  • The top of Drumhirk Drive (Ballyknowe) 
  • Rathgael Road (Fern Grove)
  • The week-day one way temporary traffic lights in place from the 14th will allow buses to Belfast to operate as normal, but buses from Belfast will use the A2, West Circular, Drumhirk route.

    These are subject to weather conditions.
 
Ballymoney Town Service 373a & Ulsterbus 113 Diversion 9th August - 19th August 2017
Due to road resurfacing works the Garryduff Road in Ballymoney will be closed from 9th - 19th August 2017 affecting the Ballynmoney Town Service 373a & Ulsterbus service 113.

Passengers wishing to use the 113 during the diversion can board at the Joey Dunlop Museum or at the bottom of the Garryduff Roundabout....also those wishing to use the 373a during the diversion please board at the bottom of the Garryduff Roundabout.
 
Comber to Killyleagh Road Closure between Balloo Crossroads & Killyleagh
Mon-Fri daily 0900-1630hrs Until 16:30 on Fri 18th August

Due to road resurfacing work; the Comber to Killyleagh road will be closed daily Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 16:30 until 16:30 on Friday 18th August between Balloo Crossroads and Killyleagh. No stops will be serviced in either direction between Balloo Crossroads and Killyleagh (A22 Comber Road).

Ulsterbus service 11/511 will depart Comber as normal and just before Balloo Crossroads, turn right on to Ballybunden Road towards Ballygowan, left on to Carrickmannon Road to Raffrey, left on to Manse Road and through Derryboye to Shrigley and then straight to Killyleagh. 

From Killyleagh the diversion will be the reverse of the above.

  • Services affected from Belfast: 10:00, 12:00 and 14:00.
  • Services affected from Shrigley: 09:30, 11:10, 13:15 and 14:15.


Delays of approximately 20 minutes can be expected on these services. 

 
103, 103b, 105 & 325c Antrim Road, Lisburn Diversion

Part of the Antrim Road in Lisburn will be closed for approximately 4 weeks from Monday 24th July 2017.

The 103, 103b & 105 services will operate out bound and in bound via the Prince William Road and Laurelhill Road, then the normal route...passengers can be picked up and set down at stops at the Laurelhill / Ballymacash Road junction.

City service 325c out bound and in bound will operate via Thornleigh Drive, a temporary stop has been erected at Bellevue Park on the Antrim Road.

Ulsterbus Service 532 Lisburn/Belfast via Falls Rd 

Due to Belfast Rapid Transit works, the following stops are suspended until further notice:

  • Countrybound - Westwood Centre
  • Citybound - Fruithill 
 
NEW Lisburn City Service (325M)

A new Ulsterbus Lisburn City Service (325m) will operate from 3rd July 2017 until further notice.

This service will operate to and from Lisburn Train Station serving Belsize Road, Boomers Road, Derriaghy Road and Pond Park Road (Monday to Friday only)

From 3rd July 2017 until 31st August 2017 this service is FREE for any person with a valid NI Railways Weekly, Monthly paper ticket, Weekly, Monthly mLink ticket or aLink card

For anyone not in possession of a valid NI Railways ticket as listed above, the normal town service fare applies:

  • £1.60 per adult single
  • £2.70 Adult Town Service Day Ticket
 
University Avenue - Cairnshill Park and Ride (ULB 652) 

University Avenue will be closed for 11 weeks approximately from the 07:00 22nd June 2017 until 1st September 2017 between College Green and Ormeau Road due to work to renew footway and carriageway resurfacing.

Metro 7, 29 and Ulsterbus 652 will operate the following route during the closure:

Countrybound: Services will operate via Botanic Avenue, University Street to Ormeau Road.  Temporary stops will be available at Wolseley Street and outside the Audit Office.

Citybound: Services will operate via Ormeau Road as normal but omit University Avenue.  Services will instead be turning left into Donegall Pass. Temporary stops will be available at the start of Donegall Pass and at Chamber Street.  

 
East Belfast - Lane Closures - Upper N'ards Rd & Knock Rd

NI Water commenced work on a large-scale flood alleviation project for the Upper Newtownards Road / Knock Road area of East Belfast on Monday 5th June.

Two key elements of the work will be carried out on the Upper Newtownards Road & Knock Road between June and September 2017.

  • A lane closure is in place on the Upper Newtownards Road (country bound) for 12 weeks between Ormiston Park and the junction with Hawthornden Way (to 31st August 2017).
  • A lane closure is also in place on Knock Road (heading towards the Castlereagh Road) for 8 weeks between the Kings Road and the Comber Greenway (to Friday 28th July 2017). 


Traffic delays are expected and motorists should allow extra time for their journey or consider using an alternative route where possible.

Ulsterbus Services 511/511B will be diverted on their outward journey due to NI Water works until further notice. Services will operate as normal to Ballyhackamore then divert right onto Sandown Road, left onto Knock Road and then as normal onto Kings Road. Inbound services to operate as normal.

 
Kennedy Way Roundabout, West Belfast

Works to replace the roundabout at Kennedy Way in West Belfast with a new signalised junction as part of the Belfast Rapid Transit project will begin at the start of July. 

Some preparatory work is already underway, with the main works due to begin over the weekend of 1st July when the roundabout will be completely closed from 19:00 on Saturday 1st to 13:00 on Sunday 2nd. Access to properties on the roads approaching the roundabout will be maintained and signage will be erected at appropriate advance locations advising of the closure and directing traffic on alternative routes.

From Monday 3 July to the end of August the temporary roundabout and the approaches to it will, where necessary, be restricted to a single lane of traffic in each direction.Work and ongoing traffic management arrangements have been carefully programmed over the summer months in order to minimise any inconvenience to the public, however motorists should be aware that some delays may be expected and that additional time should be allowed when planning any journeys.

This work and the ongoing work on the Falls Road/Andersonstown Road are part of the Executive’s flagship Belfast Rapid Transit project which will be fully operational from September 2018. 

 
651 Sprucefield Park & Pide Car Park Information

Please be advised the gates for this site (Sprucefield P&R) will be locked after the last service departure at 19:00 (from Belfast Europa Buscentre) Monday-Friday arriving in to the car park at 1920.

Ballynahinch Area Service Disruption - From Monday 8th May 2017

Phoenix Gas will be carrying out works relaying gas pipes in and around Ballynahinch from Monday 8th May 2017 until end of week commencing 30th October 2017.

The works will be done under lane closures and traffic lights; so no diversions will be required, but the works will cause major disruption and delays to all services operating within Ballynahinch town centre.

From Monday 3rd July 2017 Phoenix Gas will be still have the section of road between Annsborough/Ballylough Road, to its junction of the Drumnaquoile Road closed for the next stage of their works.  We will not be able to service the Ballylough road during this time.

All customers will therefore need to make their way to meet the service buses at either Annsborough Village or Aughlisnafin X Rds.

However Phoenix Gas will have the Ballynahinch Road reopened from the above date and we will now be able to service Drumaroad and the normal service 18 route from Drumcaw/Carnreagh x Rds.

The new diversion to service 18 route from Monday 3rd July will be as follows:

Castlewellan – Drumcaw Road – Drumaroad – Spa – Ballynahinch – Belfast. The return journey will be this in reverse.

This diversion will be in place from Monday 3rd July until further notice.

Additional Note: Phoenix Gas have advised that there will be a lane closure between the Carnreagh Road junction (top of Drumcaw Road) to Spa village for one week commencing Monday 21st August 2017.

Killagan Stop (Logans Fashion) Services 173 & 218 Information

Due to road works on the A26, the bus shelter has been removed and coned off at Logans Fashions (Killagan) northbound until further notice.

A temporary stop is in operation 100 metres further northbound, just past the end of the Killagan Road end...This will affect all 218 and 173 services toward Ballymoney and Coleraine. 

 

Ulsterbus - Stewartstown Road Stop Suspension - Ongoing

With immediate effect, due to construction works the bus stop located on the Stewartstown Road CITY BOUND at the Shaws Road junction has been suspended for the duration of the Belfast Rapid Transport works to the footpath.

The nearest alternative stops are located at Stewartstown Road – Saint Genevieve’s (Connor Rise) or Andersonstown Road – Ballyowen. This will affect Ulsterbus service 532.

 

Ulsterbus - Donegall Street Relocation of Bus Stop from 9th October 2015 - Relocation of 1st bus stop in York Street

Due to demolition and rebuilding work associated with the new University of Ulster building at York Street it will be necessary to suspend the first stop in York Street for 30 months from 09:30 on Friday 9th October 2015.

All services Metro and Ulsterbus will all be relocated to the 2nd stop  near Frederick Street. The inner lane will be taken out to be used as a covered walkway for pedestrians as there will be a hoarding the length of the footpath from Donegall Street to Frederick Street for the duration of the work.

The bus shelter will be inaccessible but there will be a marked gap in the covered walkway to allow boarding/alighting at this point.

 

Dufferin Avenue, Bangor Overflow Car Park
