St Patrick's day in Belfast
St Patrick’s day will be celebrated with ‘colour and splendour’ in Belfast as the traditional carnival is set to grip the city once again in March.

The carnival is a wonderful collaboration of efforts from across the city, with community groups, amateur performers, musicians and acrobats involved in the annual event. The parade ventures through the streets of Belfast, leaving the city hall at noon and making its way to Custom House Square. The theme is a celebration of the Titanic centenary and also the London Olympics, entitled ‘2012’.

Custom House square will also be the venue for the 2012 St Patrick’s Day concert, which will take place in the afternoon and involve activities for kids, food stalls and street entertainers. The free concert will feature a mix of traditional music and dance, with music from a popular artist.

The carnival and celebrations take place on  17 March 2012, making Belfast a great place to be for traditional celebrations.ADNFCR-8000210-ID-801281457-ADNFCR
