Translink briefing for Craigavon Representatives

5 February 2019

Local Translink bus managers have engaged directly with political representatives to discuss passenger transport in the Craigavon area.

The ‘Meet the Manager’ event, hosted in Portadown Train Station, provided a platform for discussion around a range of transport matters, including: local bus and rail services, facility upgrades, park and ride provision and cross-border connections via Enterprise, as well as other issues of interest.

Speaking at the event, Gary Mawhinney, Translink’s Service Delivery Manager for the Craigavon area, said:
“These sessions are very useful in terms of providing local representatives at all levels with an update on public transport services in the area, including on local services in the Craigavon area and cross-border Enterprise services.   It was our pleasure to welcome a cross-party of local MLAs and councillors to Portadown Train Station in order to learn more about how Translink is working to make public transport your first choice for travel in the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council area and across Northern Ireland.

“We would once again like to thank local representatives for attending this session and ask for their continued support as we work to deliver attractive services for everyone.’’.
