aLink Card

aLink is a new Translink smartcard which provides annual travel on scheduled Translink services within Northern Ireland for the journey(s) you have chosen.  As an extra benefit you also get unlimited travel at weekends on the Translink bus and train network within Northern Ireland.

aLink annual smartcards are available for travel on Metro, NI Railways, Ulsterbus and Goldline services.  aLink cards will be available to use for travel from 1st January 2015.  You can apply now for a quotation.

Request a Quote
Complete an online quote or pick up a Request for Quotation Form at any main Translink Station. Complete your form and return to Translink.

Translink will then send you a quotation for your aLink card.
Simply accept your quotation and provide your payment details.

Enjoy Your aLink Card
Translink will post an aLink card to you, so you can enjoy saving every day.
As the new aLink card is an electronic smartcard, you will need to validate it on a bus or rail ticket machine reader every time you travel.

 

 

Current Annual Commuter Card holders do not have to apply for an aLink card using the process above. Only those customers who do not currently have an Annual Commuter card need to apply for an aLink card via the new aLink Request For Quotation process above.

By paying for your aLink card by monthly Direct Debit, you can save 15% on the total cost of your journey.

Annual Commuter Cards

aLink cards are replacing the current Annual Commuter Card. 

Translink Annual Commuter Cards will not be valid for travel after 31st December 2014. Anyone with a current Annual Commuter Card does not have to apply for a new aLink card. Current Annual Commuter Card customers do not have to submit a new photo as their existing photo will be used on their new aLink card. 

If you already have a Translink Annual Commuter Card which is due to expire on 31st October or 30th November 2014, Translink will automatically send you a Renewal Form as normal.  Once you have accepted your new quotation on the Renewal Form Translink will send you an Annual Commuter Card which will be valid until 31st December 2014.  By mid-December, Translink will then automatically issue you with a new aLink card which will be valid for travel from 1st January 2015 until the expiry date quoted on your Renewal Form.  Your Annual Commuter Card will expire on 31st December 2014 and will be no longer valid for travel.  You will be required to either destroy your Annual Commuter Card or return it to Translink at the address below.

If you already have a Translink Annual Commuter Card which is due to expire on 31st December, Translink will send you an aLink Application Form to renew your card.  Once you have accepted your quotation on the Renewal Form Translink will send you an aLink card which will be valid from 1st January 2015 until 31st December 2015.

If you have a Translink Annual Commuter Card which is due to expire any time after 31st December 2014 Translink will automatically post a new aLink card to your home address in mid-December 2014.  The aLink card will be valid for travel from 1st January 2015 until the expiry date printed on your current Annual Commuter Card.
