Job Description

Department: Information Services
Location:  Milewater Rd, Belfast
Hours: 37 per week
Grade: Management/Professional

Job Purpose:

To provide third level technical support on the current server, security, and telecommunication infrastructure and as a member of a small integrated team, the post holder will provide third level support for the IT Service Desk supporting all 85+ Translink locations across Northern Ireland as necessary. 

Essential criteria:
Possess an appropriate 3rd level qualification (eg Degree/HND) in either an IT or business related subject, or alternatively, be able to demonstrate at least 5 year’s experience in a multi site, distributed ICT environment. Possess substantial experience of computer hardware and have a detailed knowledge of network components. Possess good knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, and other Microsoft products (Desktop, Server, Analytical). Able to demonstrate a high level of practical and technical competence and skill gained in a multi-site, distributed ICT environment.

Desirable criteria:
Cisco certification, MSCE Certification, ITIL foundation certification, professional membership of the British Computer Society.
