The company has worked closely with unions to improve relationships and is also committed to training and development - the new £1.7 million Rail Operations Training Academy is demonstration of this.
The achievement of Investors in People accreditation by Human Resources, Engineering, Marketing. The Translink Programme
A new group-wide programme has been launched to review the way Translink currently does business and identify areas where we can improve.
The Programme aims to foster a culture of operational excellence throughout Translink and will focus on a range of areas including strategies, policies, structures and systems as well as developing appropriate skills, behaviours and eadership styles that will enable the organisation to achieve optimum performance.
This programme is about Translink making continual improvements to our business; we will review the way we currently operate to find areas where we can improve on our already high standards. We want to take an organisation that is good and look at a cycle of continuous improvement, focusing on quality and what we can do to keep getting better.
The strategy of the programme is to develop quickly a structured programme of activities aimed at driving business performance improvements and delivering outputs and benefits that build upon our already strong people and organisational capability.
Four separate key project areas will be part of the programme:
- Leadership and Change
- Performance Management
- Employee Engagement and Internal Communications
- Learning and Development.
It is essential that as a business we strive to make continuous improvements.
