There are usually three cars to each new train, seating 200 passengers comfortably:
Access between cars is by push button automatic doors.
Saloon Layout
The pairs of seats nearest to the entrance vestibules and doors are priority seating (for elderly and less mobile passengers), with additional leg-room.
The high back seats are contoured and lumbar supporting, with pull-up armrests. The colours were selected to provide colour and tone contrast for passengers with a visual impairment.
Tip-up seats are located in the bicycle storage area and in the disabled access area.
Each saloon has overhead storage racks, in steel and tinted and strengthened glass, above the seating areas and four push-top dustbins incorporated into the vestibule panels.
Durable patterned carpet is laid throughout the saloon of all cars, with a tougher and more absorbent grade of carpeting laid in the vestibule areas in order to capture dirt on entry.
