Ireland rugby fans travelling to Dublin for this year’s Six Nations Championship have been boosted by news that Translink are to operate a series of special rail services to travel to the matches.
These special rail services will be available in addition to the scheduled Enterprise services and will operate on 2nd February, 23rd February and March 8th. A special boarding pass is required for travel on these particular services and these will be issued on purchase of a rail ticket.
“These services have proved extremely popular in the past and we’re pleased to be in a position to once again offer rugby fans online booking facilities. We would encourage passengers to book early in order to avoid disappointment,” explained Translink Marketing Executive, Ciaran Rogan.

Alternatively they can be purchased at any of the above stations with ticket sales for the Ireland v Italy match available from today. Ticket(s) & Boarding Card(s) for Ireland v Italy will be posted by recorded delivery next working day. Pre-ordered tickets for: Ireland v Scotland will be issued from 28 January 2008 by recorded delivery. Pre-ordered tickets for: Ireland v Wales will be issued from 11 February 2008 by recorded delivery.

Normal Enterprise services will operate as per the timetable and full single and monthly return fares will apply. (The Day Excursion fare is not available on Enterprise services on these dates.)
Terms and conditions
- Subject to availability.
- Each passenger will receive an individual Rugby Special Ticket and a Boarding Card.
- Ticket(s) & Boarding Card(s) for online purchases will be posted by first class recorded delivery next working day. Translink accept no responsibility for vouchers lost or delayed in the post. If you have not received your voucher within 2 clear working days of booking contact Translink Call Centre (028 90 66 66 30) Failure to produce a boarding card & ticket will result in a full fare charge. (Subject to availability)
- Your Rugby Special ticket must be presented in conjunction with your Boarding Card.
- Both Rugby Special ticket and Boarding Card must be retained for BOTH outward and return journeys.
- These special standard class Day Return tickets are NOT valid on any Enterprise Service and are non-refundable and non-reservable.
- Rail Travel tickets do not guarantee seats which are allocated on a "first come" basis.
- Travel details on Boarding Cards cannot be changed.
- Tickets will not be refunded or exchanged.
- Tickets are not transferable.
- Tickets are only valid for the date and services specified on the Boarding Card/ticket.
- BOTH a valid ticket and appropriate Boarding Card are required for travel. Ticket(s) & Boarding Card(s) must be retained for BOTH outward and return journeys.
- Normal conditions of carriage apply.
