Donaghadee Ulsterbus Strategic Review
Aim
The Ulsterbus Strategic Review is a major project which covers all the operational and delivery functions of Ulsterbus. The aim is to:

Transform the effectiveness, efficiency and integration of Ulsterbus services

Review and redesign the network

Serve key market segments and aspirations of customers, stakeholders and public policy
The Ulsterbus Strategic Review provided the data required to:

Develop plans for sustainable growth in passenger numbers in line with the Regional Transportation Strategy

Redesign the Ulsterbus network to provide more attractive core services

Plan changes that will maximise the use of all resources

Establish ‘Quality Partnership’ with external agencies (eg Roads Service, local councils)

Implement appropriate integrated ticketing, fares, timetabling and marketing policies in accordance with network developments
Key enhancements in Donaghadee

Enhanced services to Bloomfield Shopping Centre to boost current 303A service
-
Better coverage of Donaghadee providing improved access for local passeengers, services have extended to cover more residential areas such as Cyress and Morey.

Clock face timetable, with colour coded route maps

Improved accessibility, low floor vehicles have been introduced on all town services.

Modern new bus stop infrastructure

Special £3 adult day return fare between Donaghadee and Bangor, serving Bloomfield Shopping Centre

£1.70 day fare providing unlimited travel on Donaghadee town services
These improvements are part of a wider Strategic Review to deliver passenger growth in line with the Regional Transportation Strategy targets. Over the last year we have seen more and more people using Ulsterbus services following the changes resulting from the completion of local area reviews across Northern Ireland including Coleraine, Enniskillen, Armagh and the new Ulsterbus Foyle services in L’derry.
