Bangor and Holywood town services set for change!
14th November 2007:
Following on from extensive bus service enhancements introduced in various locations across Northern Ireland, Ulsterbus are now introducing changes to town services in Bangor and Holywood. These enhancements which are part of a wider Strategic Review to deliver passenger growth in line with the Regional Transportation Strategy targets, will be introduced on Monday 19th November with a new revised timetable now available.
Richard Hudson, District Manager for Bangor and Newtownards commented:
“We are committed to constantly reviewing all our services with a view to making public transport both attractive and easy to use for our passengers.”
“Improving integration of bus and rail services at Bangor Bus and Rail Centre will see the introduction of 2 new evening bus services operating Monday to Friday from Bangor Bus and Rail Centre which will connect with key commuter rail services i.e. 1825 to connect with the 1800 train from Belfast and 1900 to connect with the 1820 train from Belfast. Both these bus services will operate to Ballyholme Road, Towerview Crescent, Ashbury Avenue and Bexley Road.”
“In responding to passenger demand we have also improved services from Bangor to the Ulster Hospital, Castle Buildings, Stormont and added additional return services from Bangor to Ballywalter via Donaghdee and Millisle. “
“In addition we have rescheduled the 301 service from Bangor Bus and Rail Centre to serve Holywood, High Street and Holywood Exchange.”
