Translink Gears up for Bus Oscars

The winners of this year’s Bus Industry Awards, the Bus Oscars, will be announced in London next Wednesday 5th November, and Translink is in the running for four awards!
The awards recognise excellence and best practice in the bus industry, and Translink is up against over 240 UK bus operators, local authorities and industry organisations.
“This is actually the second time in the 8 year history of the competition that we have been shortlisted for so many awards,” explained Keith Moffatt, Translink’s Chief Executive.
“We are delighted to be finalists in so many categories of this years awards, which recognise how our innovative products are bringing about higher standards of travel and care for our passengers,” He said.
The awards Translink has been shortlisted for include the Infrastructure award for the new Ballyclare Buscentre, the Marketing award for the Citybus (now Metro) ‘Give the Bus a Go’ campaign, the Customer Service award, and the Buses for Pleasure category, for the company’s Access by Bus to the Countryside (ABC) and Rambler services.
