Last Thursday (20th January 2004) Translink paid a visit to members of Divis Community Centre (DCC) located off Belfast’s Falls Road, to promote awareness of the new Metro service.  Metro replaces Citybus (now Metro) and comes into operation on the 7th February and to demonstrate the latest accessible features of their buses and familiarise members with the benefits of the Half Fare Concessionary fares scheme.

Translink’s Falls Manager Damian Bannon explained; “Many of the users here at DCC have mobility issues so it was a great opportunity to bring along a Double Decker and explain that all services on the 12 high frequency Metro Corridors will be operated by low floor accessible vehicles and to familiarise them with the accessible features.”
